Transtek, the largest software company in Syria, introduced three systems to the pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies, which are "Compass Pharma, Compass Distribution and Mango for pharmacies." during the "medical care" exhibition, which was held in Damascus in the period between 18 and June 21, 2009.
Anas el- Jabban, the pharmaceutical industry software advisor in the company explained that the system of "Compass Pharma", "raise the efficiency of productivity of the pharmaceutical industry by linking all the production processes and control, maintenance, laboratories, warehouses, marketing and distribution to each other effectively, and integrate effectively with departments and systems of financial management and human resources" .
According to al-Jabban, Transtek works now to get international certifications of GMP and CFR 21 from the Food and Drug Association FDA with respect to Compass Pharma System, which facilitate the pharmaceutical industry to obtain a global reliability of their products inside and outside Syria.
Transtek also introduced "Compass Distribution" during the exhibition, directed to pharmaceutical warehouses, according to councilor al-Jabban, "it controls of the distribution of medicines, performed by sales representatives who are carrying out the distribution of medicine to pharmacies, doctors and hospitals."
Transtek has also provided "Mango System" for pharmacies, "the system includes a database containing all the Syrian medicines, information about the companies that produce them, prices, etc., and also generates various reports, that include the level of stock in pharmacy or the warehouse, and the rate of profits for the sold items .., it is also easily dealt with and it provides quick import and storage of information through several means such as the barcode," Mohammad al-Hallak, the system marketing officer explained.
Dr. Rida Saeed, Minister of Health, said during a visit for Transtek section in the exhibition, that "the presence of supportive and complementary companies to pharmaceutical companies indicates considerable interest in the Syrian market, and this means that we are undergoing development and it’s a good sign," and he also declared that the Ministry of Health will give its support to everything that serves the citizen's health.
Transtek interest in launching systems increases the productivity and efficiency of the pharmaceutical industry in Syria and that coincided with the expansion of this industry and to enhance the ability to achieve what has become known as the "Syrian Drug security," and increase the profitability and competitiveness within and outside Syria.
