Compass Planning Management
Compass Planning Management is one of the most important modules that enable creating annual and follow-up plans that are derived from the company’s annual targets; it allows controlling the sales plan, manufacturing plan, inventory plan, procurement plan and financial plan for the designated period. This system responds to the annual plan by automatically generating orders among Compass ERP modules.
The integration of planning allows full control of the other modules of the ERP suite in order to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes, and consequently shorten the return of investment of the information system by determining critical success factors of each process alone, as well as weakness points, essential needs, and priorities and objectives.
The sales plans built depend on a predefined sub-periods (seasons), this plans can be consolidated from customer level, branch level, and/or representative level. Then demand plans will be generated considering each item lead-time and lot-size. This demand will be calculated for raw materials of produced items. Finally, the system will automatically generate purchase request, purchase orders, and work orders according to MRP module rules.
The system provides A, B, C classification planning method for sale, inventory, and financial planning. The A, B, C classification method is intended to group items according to annual sales volumes in an attempt to identify the small number of items that will account for most of the sales volume and that are the most important ones in terms of achieving the highest profits. Such product or service categories can be either: A; outstandingly important, B; of average importance, or C; relatively un-important. Each of these categories is handled differently and each is given different attention.
